Full Circle: Nelson, Webber to reunite?
Imagine if the stars really did realign themselves and Webber returned to the bay. Is he the veteren the Dubs need? Would a marriage actually work? I am not knowledgable enough of basketball to know these answers. But we had a chance for a Championship when Chris was last here. We have never had a chance since. Could a reunion be just what the Dr. ordered? i would love to see it. Minimal expense, possibly big return.

Word on the street says Golden State Warriors coach Don Nelson has been seen at Chris Webber's Natomas restaurant, Center Court with C-Webb, twice recently. That only could mean Webber and Nelson are considering the completion of the ultimate full circle and a Webber return to Golden State.
They beefed big-time 14 years ago while both were with the Warriors, but perhaps it is true that time heals all wounds, even gashes.
Stay tuned. With agent Aaron Goodwin representing Gary Payton as well as Webber, could the former Skyline High School (Oakland) guard be far behind? Baron Davis, one of the league's best point guards, needs rest, and Payton surely could fill that backup role. "

Irony
...and now wants to return to the NBA in a part time capacity as a C, just like he had to do on the Pistons?
I wonder what kinda shape he's in. This might be worth it for the entertainment value of Nellie and CWebb together again alone.

far fetched
and as our offense bogs down if we don't run, it's just possible he could be the trailing big man that we use in half court situations - it's not a perfect fit, and wouldn't CWebb rather have a shot at a ring in detroit than come back here as the prodigal son for a marginal playoff team?
his coming back is far-fetched because of their history, but not as far-fetched as GP coming here - at least CWebb has something to offer
but if they do, I'll make good on my promise Atma

Chris Webber
Hey I'd rather have CWebb and Gary Payton on the team than Pietrus and Hudson. They could provide some more veteran leadership to offset our youth. Most importantly they'd come here to play to WIN, not for money like alot of young players do. (Not necessarily pointing the finger at our young guys.)

Poor man's way of adding depth
At best, I say this adds a little more depth, especially since Nelson seems to be more inclined to play veterans.
Really though, we already signed to broken down players this offseason. Why take the chance on two more.
