The GSoM-Franco Finn Interview Trilogy, Part I
We here at GSoM are always trying to break you off with the hotness and this time around we thought who else could speak to the ins and outs of the bay area and the Warriors than Warriors' "hypeman" Franco Finn!

No one knows "hype" like Franco Finn
We had the honor of talking to Franco (you can call him "freestyle" too) Finn, the man who plays an integral part in getting the party started every night at the Roaracle. Franco's energy and enthusiasm reverberates throughout the arena and with every fan, ensuring that every game is "a great time out!" With the Warriors home opener (aka GSoM Nite II) just a few days away, Franco took some time out of his schedule to break bread with the GSoM family, giving us the 411 on the the mysteries of Don Nelson, which Warrior was voted one of the sexiest players in the NBA, who inspires him on a day to day basis, and where to find him weekly!
Shout out to The Cheesecake Factor of Union Square for hosting our interview and giving us the VIP booth (that explains the non-stop clanking of kitchenware in the background). Below is part 1; check back in the next few days for more Franco Finn fun (we love alliterations at GSoM)! Click on links below for each downloadable segment of this interview trilogy!
Franco Finn Interview Part 1: Find out about Franco's pre and in-game routines, what goes into preparing for the show, and more Nellie antics!
Much thanks again Franco Finn for sharing your time. See you at GSoM Night II!
(Franco loves meeting new fans! If you want to give him a shout, feel free to contact him @ freestyle@francofinn.com)

this guy sucks
Before each game last year, Finn did warriors trivia with fans that would play on the jumbotron. this would take place at least 30 mins b4 the game. There would be 5 questions asked with each question getting harder as the game went on. Also, the prizes got better.
Well, one time, he was doing it with this one kid, and the question was "What is Adonal Foyle's bday?". IN THE WARRIORS PREGAME HANDOUT IT listed a certain date(dont remember which). So, naturally, the kid said that date. Finn immediately pronounced him wrong and said the game was over. Even though...the warriors official handout that they give to the fans listed the same bday the fan said. No explanation was given.... When I(and many other fans), shouted this to him, he just kind of shrugged.
hella shady

your comment sucks
If you want to share your story about this mistake that happened at a game that's perfectly fine, but to say the good man "sucks" because of it makes you look foolish when you even admitted you don't know him. What this has to do about the "PC community" going nuts is completely beyond me.
This is our house and Franco's our guest. Don't think it's okay to ever disrespect one of our guests here like that ever again.
your comment is hella foolish

Keepin' it real....
Just to clarify when it comes to those pre-game GTOe-TV contests, sometimes what's written on paper isn't exactly always the right answer. I'm given the contest questions and answers early on but I personally don't come up with all the questions. I have Game Ops people who also write up the questions and answers for me and as the host, my job is to relay the info to the fans.
There are times when the answers don't match what's in the Warriors Media Guide or vice versa. We try to catch those mistakes when we can but sometimes the program gets really tight and we just have to move on get the next item of business broadcasted to the masses. I'll try and acknowledge mistakes when I can so if I didn't that time around when that kid was doing the contest, I personally apologize if I didn't give the kid a prize. But to be honest, whenever I interview kids or have them as contestants, I usually give them the prize anyways, off-camera. Especially when it comes to kids, they're always winners in my book. (Hey, I've worked at Radio Disney for 8 years, I know what's up when it comes to handling the lil' ones)
So enough about that, just wanted to get the reply in, you know. Anyways, as far as the season goes, I'm ready, I'm hyped and I'm looking forward to a crazy ride at the Oracle. My personal mission is to get to know as many fans as possible from high to low. As a true fan myself, I've been there too through those roller coaster moments, but I'll tell ya one thing, and people around the nation know it too....The Warriors fans are the craziest, hypest, dedicated and coolest fans in the NBA. I'm proud to be a Yay Area native....hey man, we only got one NBA team...our time will come. It'll be that much sweeter when we get there! See y'all opening night for GSoM II....Thanks for letting me stop by.
