New Starting Line-Up and Backups

Starters:

  1. Baron Davis
  2. Monta Ellis
  3. Matt Barnes
  4. Al Harrington
  5. Andris Biendrins
These guys should start because they bring both consistency on offense as well as defense. They play extremely well in the open court and can play either zone or man-to-man.

Off The Bench:

  1. Sarunas Jasikevicius
  2. Jason Richardson - Kelenna Azubuike
  3. Mickael Pietrus - Stephen Jackson
  4. Josh Powell - Zarko Cabarkapa
  5. Adonal Foyle - Patrick O'Bryant
Go Warriors!!!

PS: Let's hope that Jasikevicius doesn't catch the Warriors free-shooting jinx.

j-rich will start
i think ellis might end up on the bench when j-rich returns, but this should be an exciting team to watch

Ellis is coming off the bench...
Nelson has said that he likes Ellis better coming off the bench.  Right now he's more of a Bobby Jackson type player anyways except TO prone.

by ThermoElectro on Jan 17, 2007 2:37 PM PST   0 recs

are you a first year warrior fan?!
JR has been INJURED this year. What's with all the hating on him? F-n ridiculous. S. Jax 3rd on the SF depth chart?!

With Nellie-ball, there aren't defined positions. It's more like a big rotation. For example, they will start a team (when healthy) that look something like this:

BD
JR
MP2 or S. Jax
A. Harrington
AB

But the bench situation is much more complicated. Sarunas and Monta will both back up Baron and Jrich. MP2 and S. Jax will both back up for one another and Jrich. Barnes will back up the 3 and the 4.

Here's my beef.
Don't start a topic like you know what the answers are. When I read "New Starting Line-Up and Backups", I assumed you knew something we didn't. I am not suprised that you do not know anything. Next time be sure to specify that this is an opinion.

If you take a look out of your windows, you can now see Dallas, TX. Quite the site, no?

Maybe you should try reading classes . . .
The purpose of this site for us to voice our "opinions". Also, the site has clearly provided as insertion point for quotes.

Furthermore, JRich is NOT a favorite of Coach Nellie. When JRich was removed several times this season, it wasn't because of injury. It was because he sucked. Wake up people, JRich's days are numbered here as well.

Is this a joke?
please homie. the fool came in putting new lineups on blast and didnt know a damn thing. stick up for him all you want but this "opinion" easily could have been had in the "Dunleavy/Murphy/Diogu/McCleod Gone" diary.

Whoa
Relax there mayne. J-Rich has been hurt all season. And when he plays we can beat elite teams, for example this year when he was like 70% and put up 26 against tha spurs. So when he comes back healthy its a wrap.

j rich obviously a starter
how can this guy not be, he is our 2nd or 3rd best player

by badnamedwarriorfan on Jan 17, 2007 3:50 PM PST   0 recs

I think Barnes is
coming back down to earth

I look for him to be back on the bench soon enough

By the end of the year I am thinking it will be

Baron
J-Rich
Pietrus
Harrington
Biendrins

With Barnes and Monta of the bench and Steven Jackson in the doghouse

In the short term I see:

Baron
Jackson
Pietrus

I think Nelson will enjoy posting up Jackson against guards

Everyone, let this be the last time
you respond to cfrazie88's threads/posts re: JRich. He is clearly a JRich hater...He even believes JRich fakes his injuries. See the Dear J-Rich thread.

There he states:
FAKING: You bet! I've coached for 20+ years and I know a faker when I see one!!

Then a couple posts later, he says:
PS, I did not he is faking all of his injuries. I was stating that if you carefully watch JRich you will notice that he can be hobbled on one play then make a miraculous dunk on the next. Everybody that I watch the games with seem to notice this. In fact, we like it when he acts hurt as he usually plays better. This has been a pattern. Sadly though, it usually masks deficiencies.

I put up a thread titled Message for Cfrazie88 but he never responded. This tells me there's no credibility whatsoever to what he says about JRich.

Go Warriors!

obviously
j-rich will start. he's a top-10 sg in the leauge, he's not coming off the bench. i think by next year monta should start along side him, with him sliding to the 3. i'm praying jackson will be gone by then

by AJC3317 on Jan 17, 2007 6:58 PM PST   0 recs

All U JRich Lover's Are Blind
Credibility, I've got tons. I watch basketball with other coaches and players with years of experience at the HS and College level. And, NOT A SINGLE ONE, THINKS JRICH IS A GREAT PLAYER, FEW EVEN THINK GOOD. WHY? I've gone through that several times. I'm not a JRich-Hater. I'm just honest and realistic.

I think BD is the only real talent on this team. With some great coaching and training Monta, Andris, Matt, and Zarko should have promising futures. The others need to seek serious counseling.

And, Mr. or Ms. Bols: Have you ever played organized team basketball? I sincerely doubt it because you sound dumber and dumber everytime you speak.

GO WARRIORS!!!!

PS, BOLs some of us have real jobs and lives and can't post and re-post all day every day!!!

by cfrazie88 on Jan 17, 2007 7:41 PM PST   0 recs

Dude r u serious?
Zarko having a promisin career. So ur saying Zarko has more talent and is more promising than J-Rich. Oh my God, I aint never read any ur other stuff except for tha hatin on J-Rich, but from wat i see u r a coach or u r friends wit coaches. How is that possible? Is ur teams any good? I mean they must be if there all as talented as Zarko. I mean Damn. So ur saying J-Rich who averaged at least 18 in tha last three seasons is at best a good player? Thats amazin, I mean Jason has been tha most consistent scorer, wit out him no one would even know about tha warriors. And jason has had no help, lets see who has been a threat besides him tha last three years. Hmmm. Van Exel, ha, Murphy, haha, Dunleavy, a joke, Baron, when he wasnt hurt helped, but last year hurt like tha whole season and Jason but up his best scoring output, wait maybe fisher, no not really. C'mon man think, wait by u sayin Zarko and Matt Barnes have more skill, obviously u aint. Jason has played his heart out for this team, he has played through pain and through a torn tendon in his shooting finger. So honestly brah, think before u say crazy things.
I love 2 tell tha truth, but I'm such a Good Liar

Not to mention
JRich plays for a west conference team. I'm sure cfrazie should be able to figure out what my point is considering he's coached hoops over 20 years.

by MANUTEs BOLs on Jan 18, 2007 12:18 PM PST to parent up   0 recs

Hi cfrazie
To answer your question, yes I did play (and started 2 years) HS basketball and was a reserve in JC.

How is it that I'm sounding dumber and dumber as I speak when you're the one who once said JR is faking his injury and then in the following post you said "PS, I did not he is faking all of his injuries...yaddi yaddi ya...". Who's sounding dumb now, huh?

Anyway, suffice to say, your 20+ years of coaching experience is not helping you at all. Please I'm not trying to make enemies here...besides, we're all Warriors fans! I just want to know what goes on in your head such as why you really feel JRich fakes his injuries, etc etc.

Go Warriors!

by MANUTEs BOLs on Jan 18, 2007 12:15 PM PST   0 recs

Let's Finish This, Then:
Yes, JRich fakes injuries. The better the player you are the more you fake. Just like spoiled children this is done to get attention. JRich lacks self-confindence to the point where it really affects his play. I really don't know which games you guys have been watching this year, but on numerous occassions he has had pain before shooting free throws or on defense may have missed a play only to follow that up with the raised hand on offense or jesturing for lob. Those who have played, coached or even observed for years clearly has seen this especially those who aren't fanatic about a player - Jordan made a career out of it. And, as I noted in my earlier comments that my friends and I actually prefer him to "play hurt" because he usually plays better, ala Jordan. But, my greatest complaint about JRich is that he has publicly (often I might say) commented that he "should" be an all-star. That is incredibly selfish. The fans determine who should play with the exception of the coaches' picks. A player who plays hard on a consistent basis will get the respect he deserves. He hasn't earned it, especially in the West.

TRUST ME! I'M NOT A JRICH-HATER. I WOULD LOVE FOR ALL THE WARRIORS TO PLAY WELL. HELL, EVEN THE ONES THAT JUST LEFT.

I'M A WARRIOR LOVER!!

Even BD drives me crazy sometimes as I feel he shoots way too many shot for a point guard. But, then again, he and the Warriors missed out as too many of his teammates could not finish great passes. He is also physically and mentally drained at the moment. He last 5-6 games have been really, really below par.

Also, there was a comment:

"J-Rich who averaged at least 18 in tha last three seasons is at best a good player? Thats amazin, I mean Jason has been tha most consistent scorer, wit out him no one would even know about tha warriors"

Are you on drugs? Do you remember what it was like before BD arrived?

What is so great about these career stats:

Points: 18.3
Shooting: 43%
3 PT FG: 34%
Free Throws: 69%
Assists: 3.1
TurnOvers: 2.2
Rebounds: 5.4
Steals: 1.2
Blocks: 0.4

Now, am I missing something. And, please don't tell me he plays hard and with heart.

by cfrazie88 on Jan 18, 2007 1:46 PM PST   0 recs

This Guy
I'm on drugs huh. Im not tha one that said Zarko and Matt Barnes have more promisin talent. There is no point to look up there career numbers. Wat u sayin is a joke. I know for a fact J-Rich from his arrival has brought many fans wit him. And he put tha Warriors in tha spotlight in both years he won tha slam dunk contest, and in tha third when he should of won. Also he brought hype to tha warriors when he played on tha sophmore team. And everytime they would play on television they'd mention his name. Even on ESPN dude would say its not a show till J-Rich dunks. This man has brought a buzz to tha warriors, because of his skill, and his heart. And before Baron was there tha attendance had risen every year.

Standing up for J-Rich
I gotta jump in here, because I think your crazy in your bashing of J-Rich. His numbers have improved every year in the league, and last year was his best  year yet.
Look at his numbers:
        Reb     Ast     Pts
01-02   4.3    3.0    14.4
02-03   4.7    3.0    15.6
03-04   6.7    2.9    18.7
04-05    5.9    3.9    21.7
05-06    5.8    3.1    23.2

Not to mention that his percentages have gone up, last year he was at .446-.384-.673. His achilles heel is his free throw shooting. If you look at his PER, last he had an 18.3 which makes him one of the top 50 players in the league. So I dont think he is overrated, and I dont think that when he is healthy he will come off the bench.
